        Overview

Among the narrow-gauge rails, J T Fraser finds desolation and despair where lines have fallen into disuse, but one track's dereliction (Corris) is providing the materials for the restoration of another (Talyllyn). Other “quaint little railways and tramways” featured are Welshpool-Llanfair, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay Electric, Great Orme, Snowdon Mountain, Padarn (for Dinorwic Quarry), Ffestiniog and Vale of Rheidol.
