Overview

Ivy Cottage, in the Bedfordshire village of Apsley Guise looks much the same today, with its traditional wrought iron gate and red brick garden wall separating the front garden from the traffic passing along West Hill. Apsley Guise boasts an unusually large amount of listed buildings with thirty or more examples, many of them early Georgian, including Aspley House – a small country house built in 1695 in the style of Sir Christopher Wren.
