Diminutive comedian Arthur Askey begins dentistry training - believe it or not - in this entertaining advert for Gibbs SR toothpaste, which sees Arthur playing his victim’s teeth like a xylophone and generally behaving in a very silly manner indeed.
One of the quickest radio comedians to successfully adapt to the demands of visual media like film and television, Arthur Askey appeared in many adverts for Gibbs. This is the first in a series which made the unlikely boast that the silly little man would teach you "how to become a dentist".
