Bridge Construction
Pith helmets at play – but where, when and why?
Overview
Pith helmets at play – but where, when and why? Can you solve the mystery? This film arrived at the BFI, decades ago, in a large collection of ‘orphan’ reels disposed of by a film lab. The only clues were its stock date, 1929, and can label, ‘Bridge Construction’. No bridges are being built onscreen: this may be the end of a longer film, showing those involved in the construction project during their leisure time, clearly somewhere colonial.
