Cambridge University Sportsday (1903)
Cambridge undergrads reach new heights!
Overview
Football and rugby are well represented in the Mitchell and Kenyon collection, but this is one of only four athletics-themed titles to survive. It's also the only footage of Cambridge, shot on a rare trip south for the north west-based filmmakers. The film is nicely edited, with the athletes' high jump attempts seen in quick succession. Despite the drizzly weather, the camera gets a fine view.
