        Overview

Dr Immanuel Jakobovits, the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, visits King David School on Alcester Road at Moseley in Birmingham. This May 1967 visit came only a month after the ceremony at St John's Wood Synagogue in London to install him as Chief Rabbi for the United Kingdom.

King David School is an infant and primary school at Moseley in Birmingham which was founded in 1865. A declining Jewish population led to the school admitting pupils from other faiths from the 1950s. By 2012, according to an Ofsted report, the largest ethnic group in the school was of Pakistani heritage.
