        Overview

A man with a van sells groceries at the door in Craig-cefn-parc, Swansea, boys and dogs play, and a bus driver banters with women/passengers outside a shop. Joe Ivor Davies (1906-92), a miner and opera-lover, filmed his community from the 1940s to the 1970s, often from the windows of his house which gave panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and were an excellent vantage point from which to see people passing along the main road through the village.
