        Overview

This richly atmospheric film from John Clague, filmed at Kent County Cricket Club's ground at St Lawrence, Canterbury focuses, unusually, on spectators rather than the match. People arrive at the ground, chat and seat themselves in deckchairs. Women's hats predominate, even during a lunch where watermelon is on the menu. We then see more hats at a wedding. Guests arrive followed by the bride. After the service the married couple and guests mingle at the garden reception.
