Frank Muir Falls into a Kitchen Think

Would you like some Muir? Expect many similar puns in this light-hearted but fact-filled cartoon on kitchen planning

Animation & Artists Moving Image 1974 10 mins

Overview

Gimme some Muir! A legend of British comedy brings his insight into the evolution of kitchen planning. The first half of the film is a light-hearted history of cooking with puns so groan-worthy that even the characters in the cartoon roll their eyes. The second half takes a (slightly) more practical look at kitchen planning today.

Director Lee Mishkin was a US import who had a spell in the British industry in the 70s after winning an Oscar for his short Is It Always Right to Be Right? (1970). The film was animated by Kathleen β€œSpud” Houston who had been working in the industry since the 1930s.
