Overview

Cinema Action were part of a wave of activist groups inspired by the events of May '68 to bring independent filmmaking together with industrial and political struggles. By helping GEC (General Electric Co.) shop stewards to put their manifesto on film they hoped not just to support this dispute, but to call for wider social change. Later that year, GEC 2 was made dissecting the campaign's failure.
