Overview

1949 saw the first newcomers to the brand new town of Hemel Hempstead. 2 years on and the Development Corporation commission a film to promote the town to more people looking to move out of the cramped housing in London and start a whole new life. Famous character actor, Harry Locke plays the lead as the bricklayer who passes through Hemel Hempstead by chance on a workers' outing and is taken with the the whole idea. He returns home to persuade his wife......
