Overview

A handsome couple from Jarrow dream about the perfect wedding while browsing through publicity shots of glamorous Hollywood movie stars. On Saturday 18 June 1949 the lovers, Eleanor Richardson and Douglas Clarkson, get hitched for real at Jarrow Grange Christ Church in South Tyneside. Their wedding film is a class act by a friend and amateur cine enthusiast, Thomas Lawson, who once worked as a cinema musician in Derby in the late 1920s.
