Minehead - 1932 - Osborne Personal Film

A Somerset holiday with prolific amateur cinematographers the Tigg family

Amateur film 1932 45 mins Silent

Overview

Over half a century and through three generations, the life of the Osbourne/Tigg family was documented in over 200 films. Working for Kodak at their Harrow factory hopefully qualified Mr Tigg for a staff discount, as this film alone runs for almost 45 minutes. Parts of the film were shot using Kodacolor, an early home colour system that used a special filter and ridged, lenticular stock to capture colour information. The scenes are black and white here, but have the stock's recognisable striped look.
