One Man's Meat
Not too sure what the poison would be in this delightful film of two couples enjoying the Yorkshire coast, certainly not the end of the day beer.

Overview
Itβs difficult to see whatβs not to like in this holiday on the Yorkshire coast, with beautiful cliffs, beaches and countryside, and Scarborough looking better than it has ever has, in 1951, before or since. Our adventurous filmmakers, Betty and Cyril Ramsden, and their friends make their base the ever popular Hayburn Wyke Inn on the Cleveland Way.
Betty and Cyril Ramsden, members of Leeds Cine Club, began making their large collection of films in 1945 and continued into the mid-1960s β it was made the subject of a BBC/Open University television programme, Nation on Film (2006). Cyril had a dental practice in Headingley. They usually filmed their holidays, often with Betty providing the cinematic eye behind the camera. In this year they also filmed a trip to Exmouth, Coxwold and Leeds Childrenβs Day. The film won a Certificate of Merit from the Leeds Camera Club for the film. At the time of the film the Hayburn Wyke Inn would have been on the Scarborough Whitby Railway, until this was closed in 1965, and is now still popular with walkers on the abandoned line.
