Overview

Crowds have flocked to Builth Wells for the ceremonial opening of a new cattle market. The event brings out the MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, Tudor Watkins, as well as the mayor - highlighting the importance of farming to the local economy. Leominster businessman Frank Dale, whose building company had erected the market, shot these scenes. Mr Dale can also be seen briefly in front of the camera taking still photographs of the animals in their sale pens.
