Overview

Thursday 30th July 1953: the wedding of Alun Hopkin (of Godre'r-graig) and Gaynor Griffiths (of Pontardawe) at St Peter’s Church, Pontardawe. There are shots outside the church, the bride and groom getting into a car which will convey them to the reception, the cutting of the cake, and footage of the wedding party at Neath station, the Hopkins leaving for their honeymoon on the train, waved off by their families and friends. A final shot shows a boy paddling in the sea.
