        Overview

A wolf pack, baby brown bears, and the iconic hillside chalk figure - the Whipsnade White Lion, all feature in this home movie captured on a day trip to Whipsnade Wild Animal Park circa 1933. Situated within the Chilterns, Whipsnade is surrounded by the arresting landscape of the Dunstable Downs, the subject of the film’s beginning. There follows the mammals, birds, and reptiles captive at the zoo including wandering wallabies, and playful polar bears splashing in water.
