South Bank Street Performers 1977
Acrobats, actors, musicians, human statues: nothing is off-the-table in South Bank for this extravagant exhibition of excellent talents.

Overview
A ship funnel propped in the paving of South Bank sets the scene for an expressive theatre piece. A flash of shots showcases a slew of performers - dancers in bizarre, brilliant costumes, a human statue, a large and unusual dummy of a woman in a blue dress. And then, a coordinated presentation as the performers band together. The nature of the show may be ambiguous, but one thing is certain: it is certainly spectacular!
This film is from the collection of Vestry House Museum, a member of the London's Screen Archives Network.
