The Broads - Easter Holidays

Easter fell at the end of March in 1937 and, judging from the grey skies, wind and woolly jumpers in this film, it may well have been a cold one!

Overview

Being a Cambridge don, Trevor Spittle used to fix his family holidays around term time commitments and the proximity and wonderful setting of the Norfolk Broads was a popular Easter venue. Heather and her 2 brothers would look forward to the trip and some quality time with their parents and, not even the cold weather would spoil their plans.

From the lack of boats on the water, it seems that the Spittle family have the Broads to themselves and a chance to really get away from it all. How wonderful too to see the Windmill in action.
