        Overview

Take a close look at a piece of Lancashire's industrial heritage: the steam engine at Magnet Mill. The film commentary explains the workings of the engine, and we see mill employees carrying out their everyday activities. This is industrial heritage on a grand scale, but the mill was at the end of its active life when this film was made. It closed in 1966, and was demolished shortly afterwards.
