        Overview

Not a film for the squeamish or those looking for images of soft and cuddly animals. This amateur reel shot by Reginald Patterson shows the Solihull Rat Club at work, as the subtitle has it, 'for sport and social benefit'. The rats don't stand a chance against dogs, ferrets and men with sticks, clubs and, in one case, a hockey stick. And when the dogs aren't chasing rats they're fighting each other!
