        Train Ride to Devil's Bridge

12 miles of magic as we journey on the Vale of Rheidol Railway, one of the Great Little Trains of Wales

        Travelogue 1964 11 mins

        Overview

Journey through the Rheidol Valley on British Railways' only narrow gauge line, running 12 miles inland from Aberystwyth up the Rheidol Valley to the impressive wooded gorge and magnificent waterfalls of Devil's Bridge. This is the first of many films of the Welsh Narrow Gauge railways to be produced by the late Alan Willmott. An employee at British Transport Films, with the support of Edgar Anstey he ventured into producing many railway documentaries and travelogues for the tourist authorities.
