Overview
Revisit Wimbledon in 1955 with these highlights of the women’s singles final. An all-American final features Miss Louise Brough and Mrs Beverly Baker Fleitz, with Brough winning a dramatic match to become champion for the fourth time. The men’s semi-finals produced a surprise victory by unseeded Kurt Neilson over the number two seed Ken Rosewall. Neilson faced the number one seed Tony Trabert in the final, but lost in straight sets.
