Director: Albert Parker
Overview
Alastair Sim, in his first screen role, isn't the only one left baffled as to the identity of the killer in this ingeniously plotted and twisting whodunit set in a Thames-side house. When a financier is shot and killed, Scotland Yard are brought in to investigate, but the plot soon thickens and the bodies pile up when his business associates also begin to fall victim to the faceless killer. Can the Yard's finest solve the mystery? Or even Sim's cloddish police sergeant? Can you?
