Overview

Mr Roy Jones’ farm ‘Gwarllan’, in Sennybridge and ‘Gwarallt’, the farm of Mrs Price and sons in Builth Wells, both feature in this MAFF/NAAS film which gives a brief introduction to a cattle breeding system introduced in the two counties which are now part of Powys. The aim is to breed for quality and uniformity and research has established that winter-born calves are more profitable than those born in the spring. Auctions are seen in progress at Llandrindod and/or Brecon.
