Overview

Here we meet Michael Palin’s prototype unhelpful shop assistant (a distinct precursor of some Python characters of world renown); witness the camera crew not knowing where best to point the lens as the Bonzos rip-it up all over the stage with The Sound of Music, and Terry Jones’ inspired stock-comedy-Scotsman adlib at the end of the last sketch, when the whiskey-dispensing prop refuses to co-operate: ‘his bagpipe’s nae working’.
