Overview

The lively action more than compensates for this film's grainy images and damaged nitrate stock - although the damage has a strange appeal of its own. The film was shown at an apparently rowdy Bolton New Year Fair: the Bolton Chronicle complained that the festivities β€œwere marred by a vast amount of drunkenness, and unfortunately the gentler sex were not by any means free from the taint.”
