Overview

This ambitious film charts the Borough of Reigate’s centenary year, starting with a re-enactment of its Charter, the election of a new Lord Mayor and a Ladies Lacrosse match. A Fete and Donkey Derby, followed by silly games, leads to the Carnival Queen competition and the Carnival itself. Over 80 colourful entries parade along the road to Redhill followed by a costume display, a scout camp and a military tattoo. Bowls, the Morris Men and views of the town end this epic film.
