Overview

Queen Mary, wearing a most striking ensemble, pops into Queen Mary’s Hospital, Stratford, to open a new wing. The Nicoll Wing was named after Dr PJS Nicoll, a physician and fund-raiser who died in 1926, and it contained a children’s ward, solarium and administration offices. A huge crowd watches the Royal car approach, while nurses bob their heads as the queen passes by during her tour.
