Overview
Two stereotypically gruff Yorkshire men exchange insults about their respective football teams before moving on to debate the prickly topic of "safeguarding" - the use of trade tariffs - and its effects on the wool industry. The angry younger man is soon persuaded of the wisdom of the Conservative Party's policy by his colleague's line of argument.
The Conservative Party was an early adopter of film as a tool of persuasion, and it set up a production company, British Films, in the 1920s.
