The Flood
Eight East Anglian kids trapped by floods must fend for themselves in this wet and windy film adventure.
Overview
East Anglian youngsters find themselves cut off when the nearby river breaks its banks and floods the countryside in this exciting Children's Film Foundation adventure. With no adults around and forced to fend for themselves, they combat crooked teenage bikers while hoping for rescue. Superbly shot on location around Ely and Wisbech, this is fast-paced fun for kids of all ages.
Floods have always been a problem in East Anglia, and here documentary film of actual flooding is interspersed with the fictional footage, giving this tense, stylishly shot vintage drama a distinctly authentic, muddily waterlogged look.
