        Overview

Chris Jenkins, a keen member of Cardiff Amateur Cine Society, made his first film in 1942 and here he is a few years later trying his hand at the city’s industrial landscape – the docks and the railway, perhaps a task set by the cine society or part of a project. Engines steam, large lengths of timber are unloaded/loaded using a derrick (crane), dockers work in a health and safety nightmare, a signalman moves points.
