Overview
Dogs, dogs, glorious dogs: several terriers, a pekinese, a sheep dog at full pelt, a terrier/doberman shaped dog and a bull-dog/boxer type. But which answers to the name Mingo, Jerry or Thea, the names given on the original film can? Or are these names belonging to the people seen? What is certain is that all of them – whether human or animal – will be connected with the film-maker, Isla Johnston, of 'Bryn Mêl', Glyngarth, Anglesey.
Kenneth O Morgan – born in London in 1934 and brought up in Aberdyfi, was Principal of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth 1989-94 and has written biographies of e.g. David Lloyd George, Keir Hardie, Michael Foot. Jane Keeler (1949-92), born in Harrogate and brought up in Wrexham, was a criminologist and historian.
