Overview

Myers and Sons, based at Langley Green near Oldbury, were stationery makers specialising in the production of pens. Like many companies at the time they had sports fields where they regularly hosted events for staff. At this sports day men's tug-of-war features but the main event appears to be pushball, a now forgotten competitive game imported from America in which two teams of women attempt to score goals by heaving a giant ball around.
