Overview
This entrancing film follows three chapters in the life of an infant, a child and teen named Jalal. Abandoned as a baby in the river, he is rescued only to be accused of sorcery as a boy and outcast again. As a teenager Jalal enters a life of crime and he begins for works for a local gang leader and aspiring politician. Abu Shahed Emon's sweeping, complex film tackles several social issues in contemporary Bangladesh, including superstition, politically motivated corruption and women's rights.
