        Overview

A joint production by members of the Clacton Cine Club, Sailing A’hoy is a record of activity at Clacton-on-Sea Sailing Club captured on Super 8 colour film. The Sailing Club is situated within the Holland-on-Sea Country Park, which facing south, makes for excellent sailing conditions, as evidenced in the film. Clacton Cine Club presented many films overs the years - recording local places, events, and people, making story films, and animation.

This film, part of a collection, was donated to the East Anglian Film Archive by Joan Hammond, a longstanding member of the Clacton Cine Club, and Chairwoman in its final few years (it was wound up in 1998).
