Overview
Troubled teen Alex, misunderstood by her family and running out of chances, is sent to intern for the summer at a horse ranch in the German countryside. At first, it’s Alex’s worst nightmare, but she soon finds solace among the animals and when Katy, a shy young woman her own age arrives on the ranch, it ignites feelings in Alex that go beyond friendship.
Veteran director of lesbian cinema Monika Treut (Virgin Machine) draws nuanced performances from her leads and stunningly captures the stark beauty of the German landscape, in a film that has been acclaimed as her finest to date.
