Overview
One of the British Cinemaβs most enduring war movies, The Way Ahead follows seven ordinary citizens as they evolve into proud soldiers. Written by Peter Ustinov and Spy novelist Eric Ambler the film grapples with the fears and joys experienced by regular young men drafted during WWII to fight in North Africa. The iconic final scene was referenced in the opening titles of TVβs Dadβs Army.
