Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach
Louise Osmond's funny, provocative and revealing account of the life and career of one of Britainβs most celebrated and controversial filmmakers.
Director: Louise Osmond
Overview
Louise Osmond's funny, provocative and revealing profile delves into the life and career of one of Britainβs most celebrated and controversial filmmakers. Having been granted exclusive access to the set of his latest film - the Palme d'Or-winning I, Daniel Blake - Osmond uses this as the starting point to assay Loachβs career, from his early work as a theatre director, to his TV dramas and later extensive career as an award-winning film director.
This surprisingly candid documentary is more than just a document of Loachβs work but a playful study on the process and struggles of creating such a unique career and body of work.
