Overview
One night, a woman in danger calls the police. Anna takes the call. A man is arrested. Weeks go by as investigators search for evidence, and Aly, Anna, and Dary must relive that night that they cannot leave behind. Part gripping thriller, part psychological study, Delphine Girard's debut feature delves deep into the gray areas of sexual violence. It depicts a legal system that has become ineffective and the difficulty victims have in making their suffering heard, while exploring the mechanics of denial, both individual and collective.
