        Overview

In this film from Oldham, the builders of the new centre (called the Female Industrial Centre for the Mentally Handicapped) include people with learning difficulties from the local Arthurs and Kenyon Centre. This initiative was designed to promote independence for disabled people.

The preservation of this film was funded by a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
