Camwell Personal Film No. 15: Blc Visit to Cadbury

A reel of Midlands-based locomotive rail tours including a visit to the Cadbury’s shunter depot.

Amateur film 1955 23 mins Silent

Overview

Through the lens of renowned railway enthusiast William Arthur ‘Cam’ Camwell we begin our journey along Great Central and North Staffordshire lines. Don’t blink, as we travel very quickly to the Cadbury’s locomotive depot at Bournville, where some of the long out-of-use locos are dragged out for enthusiasts to pour over. A trip to Stocksbridge steel works in Sheffield, the Sutton Coldfield branch and a whistle-stop trip into Scottish lines make for a full reel of ‘spotters' specials’.
