Overview
Generally considered one of the greatest football players of all time, Stanley Matthews was fastidious about his rigid daily training regime, healthy diet and sports kit throughout a long career. Here he promotes a new range of lightweight, flexible 'Stanley Matthews' football boots he helped to design, available exclusively from Co-operative stores.
Though 'the Magician' Matthews may have helped design these boots for the Co-op, he later revealed in his autobiography that he didn't actually wear them for match play himself β at the time he sported foreign-made, lightweight boots of a style then unavailable in England.
