        Defeat Tuberculosis

β€œProper food and rest and plenty of fresh air” – and several months in a secluded sanatorium are the secret to curing TB.

        Documentary 1950 7 mins

        Overview

This ambitious dramatised documentary, complete with historical re-enactment scenes, was shot by legendary cinematographer Wolfgang Suschitsky who later went on to shoot the gangster film Get Carter. The enemy in this film is the prolific killer disease, tuberculosis, and key weapons in the campaign to defeat it are early detection via the mobile mass radiography service, and several months of rest and healthy eating in a sanatorium.
