Overview

The 1934-'35 season was the all time peak for Grimsby Town Football Club: they achieved a fifth place finish in the First Division. Aside from the dreams of the fans, their form over the following decades suggests that it's a position that will not be repeated. The Rams have been more successful over the years and that season ended in sixth place, continuing the consistency that they showed throughout the 1930s under manager George Jobey.
