Overview

Dorking Station is the setting for this short film which shows several slam-door service trains passing through as they journey along the mid-Sussex route between London Victoria and Portsmouth. Trains arrive and depart at the station and on a platform indicator board we see the names of stations at which the departing train will call. There is also a shot of an Odeon-style signalbox constructed by the Southern Railway in 1938.
