Miniature Railway

Giants attack steam train! Oh, hold on, it’s a miniature railway.

Non-Fiction 1926 2 mins Silent

Overview

All aboard for charity! The ride-on miniature railway is a popular addition to any fete or fair. This mini-steam marvel was built and ran by hobbyist F. Russell Hutchinson who donated the proceeds to the Southern Railway Servants' Orphanage for over 30 years. The train was a summer fixture on the seafront at Hove in the 1930s, with considerable benefit for the Woking based children's home. This film was taken for an unknown newsreel and kept by Mr Hutchinson himself.
