Since 1984, EAFA has been owned and operated by the University of East Anglia, Norwich (UEA), to support research and work to preserve our moving image heritage. More than 250 hours are freely available online as examples of the wide range of film which attracts interest the world over.

Overview
On the day before The Benson & Hedges Cup Final match between Essex and Surrey, in July 1979, Anglia Television take a look at Essexβ chances of taking home the trophy, in particular, focussing on the professional career of Stuart Turner, whose fellow team players describe as βspectacular in the fieldβ.
In the semi-final Essex beat Yorkshire, playing at their County Ground in Chelmsford, winning by 3 wickets and making it to the final. On 21st July 1979 at Lord's Cricket Ground in London, the Benson & Hedges Cup final took place between Essex and Surrey. Essex won by 35 runs, and Player of the match was Graham Gooch. The umpires were Dickie Bird & Barrie Meyer.
