Overview

Idyllic scenes for the cricket fan: a three day county championship match at New Road in Worcester bathed in sunshine. The visitors are Yorkshire (look out for a youthful looking Fred Trueman). Highlights of the first day include a double century for Yorkshire's Willie Watson. It's a hard target to chase as the home side take to the field led by openers Don Kenyon and Laddie Outschoorn. There are slim pickings too for the youthful autograph hunters at the end of the day's play.

Yorkshire won the three day match by nine wickets. The filmmaker was Frank Dale from Leominster.
