It's Quicker by Bus
Hold on to your seat for this dizzying ride from Ipswich to Felixstowe, and mistreatment of a fare-dodger – clearly not company policy!

Overview
Tongue-in-cheek humour in this unofficial film made by Ipswich Eastern Counties busmen on 8mm. At speed they let off steam about the everyday pressures of their job - keeping to the timetable on roads congested with other vehicles and pedestrians, and those pesky passengers who don't have the right change. Along the way we get the driver's eye view and glimpses of Ipswich street life. One driver makes a detour round a roundabout for the sheer fun of being filmed.
Eastern Counties buses served the rural areas of Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire and are here seen operating in and out of Ipswich bus station in their red livery. The Eastern Counties Omnibus Company began operating in 1931, absorbing many smaller local companies over the years, and was assimilated into the National Bus Company in 1971.
